How to Play
HoopDraft is a college basketball tournament fantasy game. Instead of a bracket, you draft individual players and collect the points they score for real.
Snake drafting
Managers pick in order, then the order reverses every round. If you pick last in round 1, you pick first in round 2 — so everyone gets a fair shot at the best players.
One owner per player
Inside a league, each player can only be drafted once. As soon as someone picks a player, that player disappears from everyone else's available list.
Roster size
Your league sets how many players each manager drafts — 20 by default. Smaller leagues can use shorter rosters for testing.
1 real point = 1 HoopDraft point
Scoring is simple. Every point your drafted players actually score in a tournament game adds one point to your team total.
Cumulative all tournament long
Points add up across the whole tournament. Standings update automatically for everyone as new box scores come in.
Elimination
Players keep scoring as long as their team stays alive. Once their team is eliminated, everything they already scored still counts — they just can't add more.
